Self Clinching Standoff
Our self clinching standoffs are available for close-to-edge applications. These standoffs install with a squeeze in punched or drilled round holes and become permanently mounted in the thin sheet. The self clinching standoffs from us are extremely reliable. They provide a strong torque resistant captivated female thread in a spacer configuration for thin panel applications.
Our self clinching fasteners are greatly valued for their unique properties. They require fewer parts to handle. Hardware such as washers, lock washers and loose nuts are no longer required in final assembly. Therefore they take less total assembly time. Fewer parts and fewer steps mean shorter assembly time. Moreover they have lower installation cost. They provide high push out and torque-out resistance. With our product no re tapping is necessary after application.
Self clinching fasteners were designed almost 70 years ago as way to attach components to thin sheet metal and stainless steel clinching fasteners and ensure the connection would withstand hard tugs and torque loads. They are also useful for components that will be replaced and where loose nuts and hardware would be inaccessible. They create permanent and reusable load-bearing threads and once installed, will not loosen or fall out, and use less hardware. These advantages have helped make them popular for a host of applications since they were first introduced.
The self clinching fasteners from our manufacturing unit take less space and require fewer assembly operations than caged or anchor nuts. They also have greater re usability and more holding power than sheet metal screws. They are used chiefly where good pullout and torque loads are required in sheet metal that is too thin to provide secure fastening by any other method.
